The above Banner will be our new logo on newsletters and Brochures. We are working with a county agency to produce a tri-fold brochure that we can use for promoting "Historical Beekman".

 Eight different Club Scouts dens from the area earned thier "History Badges" when they took the Tour of the Roosevelt House here in Beekman. Feburary being Presidents Day ,they learned about FDR Jr. and the Different Presidents that were guest at the House.

Pictured above is some of the members from the "Betsy Ross Sewing Group" who are hard at work sewing and designing costumes for future events. One of those events, Memorial Day will be here shortly when we pay honor to the Veterans of this county, If you or your children would like tojoin the parade and march with us in costumes,

New Book On Sale
A self published book on the history of the Town of Beekman written by Thom Usher is now available. “The short History of Beekman” has more than 50 black-and-white pages of photographs and stories of Beekman History.  Beginning withthe area’s early settlers, this journey through the Town of Beekman’s history reveals its important families, homes and communities. It details the town’s growth and preserves its past for generations to come in this in-depth look at Beekman’s vibrant past, historian Thom Usher—former president of the town’s historical society—explores The Town of Beekman from the first settlement through the Roosevelt years and beyond.
It is available at the Clerks office in Town Hall and at the
Beekman Library for $7.50.

our Organization running strong.

A reminder to those who intended to, but have not
done so as of yet. We need your financial support
to survive and continue to promote local history.

Scholarship:

This is our fourth year we are offering
a scholarship to a graduating student of
the Town of Beekman. If you would like to
contribute to the fund, send a separate
check or simply added it to your dues.

We are also looking for volunteers who
would like to serve on the Executive Board
and more important the program committee.
